STAGE 7000 TITAN
The STAGE 7000 TITAN is a high-quality audio rack designed with several key features.
Since December 2021, it has been part of a family of products that emphasize high-quality design and performance.
Based on these chassis products, we selected aluminum alloy 7075 as the main material.
The Al 7075 series is specially designed for high-grade applications because of its superior resistance to stress and temperature variations, making it significantly better than other metal alloys. (Therefore, the price would also be doubled.)
Due to the exceptional performance of Al 7075, we are able to use thin sheets of this material to design this type of audio rack.
The top plate has a thickness of 10mm, while the bottom frame is 8mm thick.
Using thin aluminum not only maintains the appropriate weight of the final product but also brings significant advantages.
Thick aluminum plates have a substantial impact on the entire system.
For example, consider using a 20mm thick aluminum plate as the top. Its inherent properties often dominate all other materials, thus requiring every effort to control resonance and vibration.
By using thin aluminum plates, these negative effects can be avoided.
Over the past 15 years, the racks have undergone continual refinement to integrate various features optimally, contributing to excellent sound performance.
These materials are selected based on their acoustic properties. They combine to form an effective system, reducing resonance and controlling vibration by canceling out their respective resonant frequencies.
In this Stage 7000 Titan, we used titanium, Al 7075 and Al6061, birch plywood, stainless steel, zirconium spheres, and rubber.
A 12mm thick birch plywood (black finish) is firmly installed on the underside of the top aluminum faceplate. This not only enhances resonance and vibration control but also adds a warm, woody texture to the overall sound.
There are two options for the top faceplate:
One is a 10mm thick AL 7075, with a 12mm thick birch plywood attached to the bottom, as mentioned above.
The other is to affix naturally smoked eucalyptus veneer to a 21mm birch plywood, reinforced with two AL 7075 stiffeners on the bottom.
