AURA
The Estelon AURA is engineered to bring a convincing, immersive soundstage and deeply engaging sonic experience to the serious listener. AURA combines advanced technologies with meticulous craftsmanship. It is not merely a high‑performance loudspeaker — it is an instrument that redefines how musical information is presented and perceived.
At Estelon we design speakers to work with the listening environment, not against it; every element of the enclosure and drive‑unit layout is chosen to promote coherent integration with the room and to preserve the natural timing, tone and spatial cues that create a compelling listening experience.
The AURA’s low‑frequency behavior is engineered so that when the loudspeaker is positioned reasonably close to the listening surface it produces even, well‑controlled bass distribution.
Above approximately 100 Hz the midrange and tweeter are located and voiced to minimise unwanted reflections and maintain precise three‑dimensional imaging. The overall goal is a smooth, coherent blend between drivers that preserves phase integrity and timbral accuracy across the listening area.
AURA uses a sealed, heavily braced enclosure manufactured from vacuum‑formed composite and filled with damping compounds to eliminate internal standing waves and internal resonances. Curved, non‑parallel internal surfaces reduce modal excitation and inhibit internal reflections, while a stiff support and bracing structure ensures the cabinet remains free from sympathetic vibration.
Each cabinet weighs 34 kg and is engineered for favourable stiffness‑to‑mass characteristics so the drive units operate with clean, precise transient behaviour.
Natural and synthetic damping materials are carefully distributed throughout the enclosure to ensure balanced tonal response across the entire frequency range.
AURA is a three‑way system comprising one dedicated bass driver, two midrange drivers, and one tweeter.
Bass driver: 250 mm FaitalPro long‑throw driver in a down‑firing configuration at the cabinet base, delivering controlled, even low‑frequency output.
Mid/bass: 2 × 132 mm paper‑and‑fiber composite midrange units (SB Acoustics Satori) chosen for natural midrange character and authoritative tonal balance.
Tweeter: 25 mm Scan‑Speak Illuminator silk‑dome, mounted in a precision waveguide to achieve controlled dispersion and smooth, natural high‑frequency response.
Each driver is mounted in a sealed, impedance‑treated sub‑chamber and individually optimised for its intended function.
The AURA’s crossover points are 75 Hz and 2.3 kHz, using second‑order slopes.
Components include air‑core and iron‑core inductors, Auricap and Jantzen capacitors, and Mundorf dual‑layer resistors.
The crossover is hand‑assembled, point‑to‑point wired, and mounted inside the bass‑driver cavity to minimise microphonic vibration. Internal wiring is provided by Kubala‑Sosna.
