Hathor, ancient Egyptian goddess of art, beauty, and music is our inspiration for this majestic turntable. The TriangleART Hathor is guided by the same uncompromising design philosophy and machined with the same exacting attention as our largest, heaviest reference models. Weighing in at a full 60 pounds, Hathor herself is a heavyweight in the world of ordinary turntables. The plinth and the platter are CNC precision machined from solid blocks of proprietary alloy, each measuring an inch thick. The alloy is specifically formulated for musicality and rigidity. The shaft and bearing are aluminum, chosen for its low coefficient of friction. Although aluminum is inherently slippery, in the bearing we incorporate Teflon to reduce friction even more and use a diamond coating for wear resistance. These materials are extremely stable, non-reactive, and will not corrode. The Hathor comes equipped with our Horus 9” tonearm (Horus 12” tonearm also available) and silver tonearm cable. The heavy-duty AC motor can be specified for 115V/60Hz or 240V/50Hz. An optional Optical Speed Controller is available. Cartridge not included.
