The Purist Audio Design Diamond Revision Neptune series cables represent the pinnacle of our Fluid-damped shielding cables. Each Neptune cable employs our improved, patented Fluid damping technology. For years, Fluid damping has been beloved by audiophiles for delivering a warm tonal character and delicate midrange performance.
Interconnects use 24 AWG single-crystal copper conductors. Compared with the Venustas cables, Neptune delivers a wider soundstage and astonishing midrange detail. These cables provide breathtaking musicality that fully immerses the listener in the music.
Digital cables are offered with S/PDIF (RCA or BNC) interfaces at 75 Ω and AES/EBU (XLR) interfaces at 110 Ω. Compared to Venustas, Neptune provides a broader soundstage and remarkable midrange resolution.
As part of Purist Audio Design’s Diamond Upgrade program, we have redesigned and substantially improved the RCA connectors, using beryllium copper and increasing the thickness of the gold plating. In addition, we have greatly upgraded the XLR connectors, also employing beryllium copper and gold‑plating the pins.
